FAQs
NeoAncients May 1-3, 2026: Three Days of Music, Talks, Films, Books, Art, Ritual and Lore across multiple venues in Stroud.
Tickets & Entry
How do I access the festival with my ticket?
Your ticket will be exchanged for a wristband at the Box Office when you arrive at the festival. This will give you access to all venues and events, subject to capacity.
Where do I collect my wristband?
Wristbands can be collected from the NeoAncients Box Office located in the Lansdown Gallery, Lansdown GL5 1BB.
The Box Office will be open throughout the festival:
Friday 5pm–9pm
Saturday 9am–9pm
Sunday 9am–6pm
Do I need to collect a wristband before attending events?
You’ll need a wristband to attend all ticket-holder-only events. Some events are open to the general public and you do not need your wristband to attend these. Events open to the general public will be listed in the programme and on the NeoAncients website.
Do tickets include access to all events?
Venues are mixed sizes, but core programme evening events take place at St Laurence Church, which has capacity for all ticket-holders.
For other venues, we’ve carefully programmed the festival with multiple events happening at the same time to make sure there is always something for you to see, so if you can’t get into one event, you’ll be able to go to another event somewhere else.
Some of our partner satellite venues are very small and will be on a first come, first served basis.
Is there a single check-in point or multiple?
NeoAncients is a multi-venue town-based festival and your wristband will be checked by door staff at each venue before entry.
Do I need the DICE app to attend?
Ideally yes, but if you don’t have the app you can present your ID and confirmation email to the Box Office staff when you collect your wristband.
If I purchased via the Weird Walk shop (not DICE), how do I access the festival?
You will not use DICE, nor will you need a physical ticket. Just head to the Box Office with your ID and order confirmation email, and your name will be on a Weird Walk Shop Early Bird Ticketholders List.
Will ID and order confirmation be sufficient for entry?
Yes.
Should I have received a ticket, barcode, or QR code after purchase?
You should have received an email confirmation with a QR code via DICE.
What do I need to bring with me?
Your phone with the DICE app and QR code, or photo ID and confirmation email if collecting your ticket without the DICE app.
Can I attend without the DICE app?
Yes, just bring your photo ID and confirmation email with you to the Box Office.
How does entry work across multiple venues?
You will be issued with a wristband giving you access to all venues. Wristbands will be checked on the door of each venue.
Are single day tickets available?
Yes, you can purchase day tickets on DICE.
Can I attend individual events without a weekend or day ticket?
Unfortunately individual event tickets are not available.

What is Challenge 25?
We are required to operate Challenge 25. Anyone that our bar staff think looks younger than 25 years will be asked to provide photographic ID. If you are under 25, or think you look younger than 25 years old, please make sure you have ID with you.
Can alcoholic drinks bought at the festival be taken between venues?
No. Due to Stroud District Council licensing laws, no alcoholic drinks may be carried between venues. We ask that you bear this in mind throughout the weekend and also that you cooperate with our door staff who will be upholding this ruling on our behalf.
Can I smoke/vape at the festival?
Normal smoking and vaping rules apply: you can smoke in outdoor areas but you cannot smoke or vape inside any enclosed public buildings or venues.

Age Restrictions

Participation (Traders, Artists, Media)
How do I apply for a market stall?
Complete the application form online at: https://forms.gle/VwqtiWi4827UrkgQ6
Does being a market trader give me access to all the festival events?
No. We’ve prioritised keeping stall fees as low as possible to just cover venue hire, so access to festival events is not included.
How can artists/speakers/performers apply to take part in the festival?
We’re fully programmed for NeoAncients 2026 but are always keen to hear from artists, performers and makers. We will post on social media when we’re ready to start receiving applications for next year’s festival.
Can I get a photographer/press pass?
Whilst we’d love to be able to give out press and photographer passes, we have such a tight capacity that we reserve all our tickets for festival-goers. If there are particular events that you’d like to cover please contact us at info@neoancients.com and we’ll see what we can do.
Can I bring professional camera equipment?
Of course — please tag us in any photos or video that you post online @neoancients.

I haven’t received confirmation — is my booking valid?

Can I view a timetable before purchasing tickets?
Yes, the full programme is available on the website and on Instagram.
Can I attend only selected parts of the festival if I’m local?
